Praise for this Book
John Goodale has written a book that’s a gift to everyone in the last third of their lives. Distilling decades of pastoral experience and drawing on a deep well of biblical resources, Goodale helps his readers chart satisfying, purpose-filled pathways for the rest of their lives. His reflective questions ensure that the book is not just a good read, but also an effective one. While the book is targeted for those nearing or in retirement, Finishing Well should also be required reading for young adults who are starting hopefully. It will provide great wisdom as they look to the future. We all want to hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

And More . . .
For the last five days, I have luxuriated in reading every word of this book by John Goodale. He has brought to its writing the same gracious, earnest integrity that I have observed for the past three-plus decades in his personal life as well as substantial pastoral ministry. With great insight he has addressed the major topics of contemporary living—viewing them all through the lens of earthy biblical characters, encouraging relevant literature and his own life experience. And he has done it in a way that is most informative, inspirational, and challenging. As one just now turning 80 years old, I have found it a most helpful guide to my own deep desire to finish well!
